How can I attend?

#2 — Watch Live at a Watch Party

TEDxPiscataquaRiver will always be streamed live online, for free, so that anyone in the community (or across the globe) can attend virtually.

Our main official live watch party is at Portsmouth Public Library, 175 Parrott Ave, Portsmouth NH. The live watch party will also have family-friendly, hands-on activities for those with smaller children who may not be able to attend a full-day event in our main theater at 3S Artspace.

You can organize your own watch party and tune in on our website from your home, office, classroom or other internet-connected location. Whether you are watching in a party of one or with group of others, in Portsmouth or around the globe, you can attend TEDxPiscataquaRiver live anywhere you have an internet connection!

We are happy to list any watch parties here as they are added.

#3 — Watch Live Online

Can't make it to the event or live watch party?

The direct link to the live stream will be posted here and prominently featured on our homepage here at

#4 — Attend the TEDxPiscataquaRiver Post-Event Reception!

If you could not attend the full-day event in person, you can watch online from wherever you are, and then join our crowd of attendees, speakers and performers for a discussion of the days talks and performances at our post-event reception at 3S Artspace.

We'll have a cash bar on site. This is also a chance for the public to view (and, in some cases, still participate in) some of our interactive experiences, which will be on display around the venue.

#5 — Watch Anytime at

If you cannot attend the live event or official watch party, or stream the live event, you can retroactively attend the talks online on your own time.

We will be posting all TEDxPiscataquaRiver talks online within 30 days of the event, where you can view them on your computer, smartphone, or other internet-connected device.

Here are playlists of all previous TEDxPiscataquaRiver talks and performances:

What does it cost to attend?

Tickets to TEDxPiscataquaRiver 2017 cost $55, for the full-day event, including lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments. We do not want cost to be a factor prohibiting anyone from attending, so if you would like to attend but cannot afford a ticket, please email for scholarship information.

*Tell me more about the ticket distribution model.

TEDxPiscataquaRiver now holds a license to host more than 100 people (hooray!). The capacity at our venue, 3S Artspace, is 200 seated. Since we expect demand for this event to exceed capacity, we have been very thoughtful about ticket distribution. We also decided to provide several alternative ways to participate, including at least one live watch party nearby, and a live stream of the event online, so that everyone who wants to attend will be able to do so in some way. While TED encourages a curated attendee list, TEDx organizers are free to determine who will attend — and it's our goal to continue to make the event available to more people each year.

Our approach to determining TEDxPiscataquaRiver attendees is based on the principles of diversity and inclusiveness. We have thoughtfully and strategically developed a ticket distribution model that we feel will strikes a balance between making the event accessible to the public while ensuring a diverse audience that spans a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines.

  1. Ensured diversity through community and student representatives — We reserve a number of seats for representatives of arts, education, local government and non-profit sectors and delegates from area high schools, universities and community colleges. Our hope is that these representatives and delegates will maximize the impact of this community event by continuing the discussion of issues and ideas exchanged at TEDxPiscataquaRiver in their sectors and at their respective schools. If you would like to represent one of the sectors listed above, please contact us. (Note: there are no more delegate/representative tickets available for our 2017 event.)
  2. Open to all for purchase — By opening up a number of tickets for purchase, we ensure that anyone who hears about the event and wants to attend has a chance to get a ticket. Tickets went on sale to the general public August 21st and sold out within 3 hours. A select number of additional tickets may also be released closer to the event to those on the waitlist, once we have confirmation on student delegates, sponsors, speaker guests, any attrition from the first round of tickets, etc.
  3. Accessible to all via online streaming — While not required by TED, it's very important to us that we make the entire event available online for anyone to watch live, whether as a part of a live watch party or individually from home, work or anywhere else with an internet connection. We will always stream our event online — you can find the link prominently featured on our homepage at on the event date.
